Touchers Say wha! And Sunday's game

TOUCH BASE!!!

OMGWTFBBQ! The Grape Knights couldn't pull together enough people to play.  They've forfeit the game!  Toucher get their first win of the season!
So, no game Sunday.  Stay home or hang out.
Julie, Marc, Mike, Shaunna, Ian and Laura.  If you post your games for Sunday here, you might get some spectators, since we don't have any game to go to.

Monday Captains,

Or should I say makers of rain?
Tonight is in question.
We will see how the day progresses.

Worst case scenario if tonight is canceled then we will do the same
thing I did with Thursday which is to squeeze in an extra time slot on
the Saturday of Monday games.
The majority of the q-final games would be played in the 11:20am slot.
Additional games would be moved to the later slots where I have openings.
This will in some case create over laps and conflicts for players with
teams on other nights.
I tried my best to avoid this but we will have no choice.
I will update the PDF file on the site later today and will email you
later in the afternoon.

Finalized Ultimate Playoffs Schedule

We have received confirmation on our playoff schedule!  The following schedule will hold true, assuming that we do not win our games on Friday or Saturday, although the teams that we play against will be dependent upon their performances as well.  Following is my prediction, please, no offense intended to any other teams who might be reading our blog in hopes of gleaning Base Toucher-busting secrets, or any fellow Touchers!  You know I love all of you.

22 Aug 6:30 vs. Chaquita Commies, A 4
23 Aug 6:55 vs. Craptaculars, MODS 6
24 Aug 3:20 vs. Grape Knights, MG 5A

Don't forget the Grand Opening Ceremonies:
23 Aug 12:10 somewhere at the MODS fields

Again, I'm going to be trying to keep track of who's coming to the games, so we can touch base with the other team if we can't make up enough players.  So please rsvp.  jbutchard@franticfilms.com

Game 2night

Hey Team!

We play at Assiniboine Park tonight against the Craptaculars.  The game is at 6:30pm and the field is A4 which runs Southeast-Northwest and is just West of Locomotive Drive.

They also wear Yellow shirts so please bring an extra dark one.

Also, I will prolly be a little late unless I can get off of work early... See you all there!

Ultimate Tournament Aug 22nd

The Base Touchers have a playoff tournament on August 22nd.  I'm taking stock of who's going to be able to attend that weekend.

Just to give you a little taste, here's the preliminary schedule that was sent to Tracy.  Of course, this is highly subject to change:

22 Aug: 6:30 vs. Chaquita Commies, field TBD
23 Aug: 12:45 Opening Ceremonies for playoffs
23 Aug: 6:45 vs. Craptaculars, MODS 6
24 Aug: 3:20 vs. Grape Knights, MG 5B

Please get in touch with me (if you haven't already done so) to confirm your attendance or absence at this event. 

You should know that the MODS website is promising beer tents.  My sister-in-law told me that the playoffs are relaxed and fun, and you run into friends and acquaintances that play in other leagues or on other nights.  So come, and let's touch base.

Hey Guyz,

We play at WUL5 tonight which are the ultimate fields near the perimeter off of St.Mary’s.  Turn right at the fork in the road and it’s one of the first fields on the right (running north/south).See you all there!  The game is at 6:30pm against the Disc Virgins...
